Gigabit 12x4 SX-TX Aggregator
Network Tap group: Converter Taps

The Gigabit 12x4 SX-TX Aggregator enables the user to monitor up to 12 input ports with multiple network analyzer or IDS devices (4). The aggregated outputs provide a single stream that merges both sides of the network port's traffic, thus reducing port usage on analyzers, IDS and IPS devices.

Management via serial port, telnet, and a browser based GUI via TCP/IP and SNMP, this device provides the most versatile network Tap solution available today.

Link Safe feature enables each network element connected to the Tap to be aware of the corresponding link's status and correct itself if a link failure is detected.

Multiple monitoring port regeneration taps reclock the data to maximizes the signal quality and power throughput.

PRODUCT NAME: Gigabit 12x4 SX-TX Aggregator
P/N: V 12.4 S.C.F-AS

Description:

The 12x4 Port Aggregator provides simultaneous monitoring of up to 12 gigabit fiber links on 4 monitoring ports. Monitoring ports include 2 SFP modules and 2 10/100/1000 TX ports. Each monitoring port is independently controlled, allowing the user to forward any group of network ports to any monitoring port, including forwarding the same port to multiple monitoring ports.

This device supports local management via a serial console and remote management via telnet, HTTP, and SNMP. Ports may also be assigned text names of up to 80 characters for ease of use. SNMP support includes a device-specific MIB as well as applicable MIB2 objects.

The network ports can be configured to operate in either span or inline mode giving the user flexibility to deploy multiple or all ports as inline taps while using the remaining ports as input streams only. Another configuration feature allows any of the 12 gigabit fiber links to be selected for aggregation enabling the user to choose dynamically which of the 12 ports to monitor.

Dual redundant power supplies allow seamless transitions between power systems and maximize uptime. All VSS managed devices support field firmware updates for additional features and performance enhancements.
