OC-12 SX 8x2 Regeneration Tap Switch
Network Tap group: Fiber Taps
|
|
| The OC-12 SX 8x2 Regeneration Tap Switch enables the user to monitor up to 8 full-duplex networks with multiple network analyzer or IDS devices (2).
Management via serial port, telnet, and a browser based GUI via TCP/IP and SNMP, this device provides the most versatile network Tap solution available today.
Multiple monitoring port regeneration taps reclock the data to maximizes the signal quality and power throughput. |

PRODUCT NAME: OC-12 SX 8x2 Regeneration Tap Switch P/N: V 8.2 S.S-I-S
Description: The OC-12 SX 8x2 Regeneration Tap Switch allows selectable monitoring of any one of 8 network streams. Each of the 8 network ports allows fail-safe uninterrupted pass-through of data over 62.5/125 micron fiber optical cable. The network connection will not be interrupted or otherwise disrupted during a power failure or during the monitoring process. The tap has 2 separate outputs (V8.2 series) which can be used at the same time.
The network to be monitored is selected locally through the front panel push-button or a serial port console and can also be selected remotely via a Telnet console, any Web browser or an SNMP manager. The serial and TCP/IP connections also allow diagnostic and management data to be viewed such as port connect speeds, activity and duplex settings. Automated time-sequenced stepping between ports can also be performed over the control interfaces.
The Regeneration Tap Switch includes both optical switching & electrical regeneration so that the monitoring output emerges at full optical power. Data reclocking chips & media conversion further enhance the tap’s signal quality and overall performance in speed specific networks.
The remote management feature enables a user to manage an enterprise infrastructure of TAPs from a single and central location. |
